I'm married to a great guy named Doug and we have two beautiful daughters. Elisha Nicole who is 11 going on 20 (lol) and Megan Marie who is a very independent 4. We live in the small town of Titusville, Pennsylvania and Doug and I are coming up on our 18th anniversary.
I grew up as an Army brat and we traveled tons of places, but the most significant ones were Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Heidelberg, Germany. My experience of being an Army brat has created a diversified background in education, culture, friendships and travel. When I married Doug, he was in the Navy and we were stationed in Philadelphia and Virginia Beach, which added even more to my long list of travels. Military life is not always easy, but what makes it easier is that the others are in the 'same boat' as you are.
I have always written, but I haven't always been a poet. I haven't always been courageous in my life, but I've always had the heart for it.
My site is based on that principle and I truly hope that visitors of 'Heart Thoughts' will keep this in mind while reading my poetry. I'm proud of every tear I shed, smiled that cracked and heart that broke while I molded the emotions into verse. I would not be the person I am today if I had a single regret. I have 2 philosophies and they have always held true. They are 'The Millard Law' (It's gonna happen, so eat it up with a spoon) and 'Live life to the fullest, it's your only one' *chuckle* Pretty good words to live by. Here's hoping that you have your spoons handy!
Visit my site "Heart Thoughts" and please enjoy your stay.

I have lived in Arizona most of my life, and in Phoenix, since 1992. I have been been married to Truman for 30 years. It is the 2nd marriage for each of us, but they have been happy ones. Wehave 6 living children, 14 grandchildren, and 7great-grandchildren. My goodness! That makes me sound old, but Idon't consider myself old - Yet. They say you are only as old asyou feel, although I have to admit that some days, I do feel myage! I still work part-time, spend my spare time on this computer. Too much, I suppose, but I enjoy it and Truman doesn't mind.
I find it rather fascinating to meet new people and learn about them. I have made friends of all walks of life and love each and every one. Being Part Choctaw is to me a gift of my Parents and Ancestors. Since I hadn't been around my dad's side of the family, I didn't know much about my grandparents, except that my grandfather was 1/2 Choctaw. I spent a few years researching my roots, retracing my Family Tree, on all sides, and I have learneda lot more than I ever hoped to, thanks to the Internet and newfound 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th cousins. I started out to make one short web site, but I got hooked. Making web pages is my favorite past-time. Since my 1st site was TruBess (named for both of us) and Bessie was already taken, I took the name of choctawbessi
